Sam started playing guitar at age 6 hearing the likes of Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, George Benson, Tommy Emmanuel and of course, much, much more..
At age 15, Sam was playing in clubs, bars, concerts playing jazz, pop, rock, folk, fusion and any other style he could get his hands on.
Sam completed a Bachelor of Music with Honours at the Elder Conservatorium, Adelaide in 2010 majoring in jazz guitar.
At the same time, Sam was honing a career as a session musician, arranger, recording engineer and versatile musician touring nationally and internationally with various artists and shows.
In 2014, Sam built his first home studio and launched his music production brand, The Lair which provides arrangements, transcriptions, guitar backings and production to artists in Australia and beyond.
Other hobbies include wine & wine writing, cooking & gardening, reading and hiking.
